Becks' Leadership
What is the Junior Leadership Program?
Led by Mrs. Rebecca Beck, our Junior Leadership Program features two community projects per year designed to develop young leaders in Taekwondo while strengthening our connection to Northern Colorado. Students learn valuable life skills including:
-
Community service and civic responsibility
-
Project planning and teamwork
-
Leadership through action
-
The Taekwondo tenets in real-world application

Watch this space for updates as our leaders make a positive impact in our community!

Becks' Spring 2026 Leadership Project
Twice a year, our young leaders step beyond the dojang to strengthen their role in the Northern Colorado community while developing essential leadership skills in Taekwondo. This spring, our student leaders hosted a Bike Ride to benefit Ollie's Bike Parade.

Through hands-on community service, our junior leaders learn that true Martial Artists don't just train their bodies and minds. They also serve their communities with honor, compassion, and dedication.
Our Goal:
-
Raise $1,000 school wide. We contributed 100% of proceeds to Ollie's Bike Parade to create victim's advocate boxes.
How We Got There
-
Beginning April 2026: Becks' Leadership planned the details of the fundraiser and bike ride.
-
Saturday, May 2: Three senior leadership students met with Clarissa, Ollie's mother and the founder of Ollie's Bike Parade to discuss details and plan the fundraiser.
-
Saturday, May 23: Becks' Families and friends all rode from Becks' Martial Arts to Spring Creek for Ollie.
TOTAL RAISED: $1,426.00!
Becks' Fall 2025 Leadership Project
During the fall of 2025, our Leadership Project developed and fundraised in our taekwondo community for about two months to donate to Crossroads Safehouse, an organization that supports women, children, and families in need.
Our Goals:
-
Collect items from their wish list (toiletries, toddler and baby supplies)
-
Raise $1,000 schoolwide—enough to support an individual's safe stay in their shelter for eight weeks
How We Got There:
Our junior leadership students brainstormed fundraising ideas, and selected three ideas to pursue as a group. Our senior leadership students (red shoulders and high rank black belts) practiced their leadership skills by reaching out to local small businesses for donations.
Thank you for your support as we work together to make a difference in our community!
TOTAL RAISED: $1573!
